At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 23-24.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on the latest measures to ensure employment, increase household incomes, and reduce poverty across the country, using the Khorezm region as an example.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on further measures to develop the network of micro and small hydropower plants.

In accordance with a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a group of entrepreneurs was awarded state awards in recognition of their significant contribution to the country's development, enhancing its export potential, ensuring sustainable growth of the national economy, attracting investments, producing import-substituting products, expanding modern services, as well as creating new jobs and sources of income.

The current and future development of Uzbekistan's economy is directly determined by the freedom of the private sector, equal and favorable opportunities created for businesses, and robust legal protections.
